New Event / Outreach Coordinator:

This person is the vanguard of the dharma center's reach into the community.

This person will attempt to fill the center's calendar with teaching opportunities at adult schools, and other venues throughout Northern New Jersey. These opportunities may include one time free public talks or new 4-6 week series of classes or special events, such as empowerments and day courses and weekend retreats.

Plan new events and programs 3-6 months in advance.

This position demands creativity and initiative as we look for new ways of reaching people and new venues for having classes.

Flyering Coordinator:

Flyers are our hook of compassion, and the very tip of the dharma center's fingers into the community.

Flyering is a critical piece of our outreach and promotion, and the most proven method of advertising classes. It is also one of the ways that the dharma community interacts with the larger society, learns about new venues, and meets new people. Finally, it provides dharma students with an opportunity to be of service to the dharma center through their efforts at posting flyers, and distributing them to friends and colleagues.

This person insure that all regular program events have flyers created and printed 3 weeks in advance of the class start date. Supervise the distribution of flyers in various communities.
